Caterpillar C Series Windshield Replacement Only - Tinted

LIMITED WARRANTY

If your polycarbonate windshield or window (i) breaks, (ii) experiences coating failure, (iii) develops excessive haze, or (iv) exhibits significant yellowing or loss of light transmission within ten (10) years from the date of purchase due to a manufacturing defect, the original purchaser may be eligible to receive a free replacement. To qualify, the defective item, original sales receipt, and a copy of this warranty must be returned to the original dealer. If a replacement cannot be provided within fourteen (14) days, a refund of the original purchase price may be issued.

CONDITIONS

This warranty applies only when the windshield or window is used in flat, vertical architectural glazing and has been installed and maintained according to recommended care instructions. It does not cover transportation, off-road, or recreational vehicle applications. The warranty does not cover removal, reinstallation, or any indirect or consequential damages that may result from product failure.

Coverage Details:

• Breakage: Covers material failure under normal use. Product must have been properly fabricated, installed, and cleaned.

• Coating Failure: Covers visible flaking or loss of adhesion of any applied abrasion-resistant coating.

• Abrasion Resistance: The product should not develop haze beyond 15% when tested using standard abrasion testing procedures (ANSI Z26.1 – Taber Abrader, 100 cycles, 500g load).

• Yellowing & Light Transmission: For clear polycarbonate only, yellowing should not exceed a Yellowness Index of 5.0 within five years or 10.0 within ten years. Light transmission should not decrease by more than 5% within five years or 7% within ten years, based on ASTM D1925 and D1003 testing procedures.

Please note: All glazing materials exposed to outdoor elements may develop atmospheric deposits or haze over time. Proper and routine cleaning is essential and may slow, but not prevent, this natural process. Damage resulting from improper cleaning or physical abuse is not covered.

Under no circumstances shall liability exceed the original purchase price of the product. The remedies provided herein are the sole and exclusive remedies available to the purchaser.
