This is an aftermarket replacement for the lower glass panel in the cab door of John Deere 26G and 35G compact (mini) excavators, replacing OEM part #FYD00006276. It sits below the separate upper door pane in the operator's door.

How is this lower door glass different from the upper door glass FYD00006274?
Sellers list the lower pane at 5 mm thick, about 535 × 530 mm and roughly 4.3 lb, while the upper door pane FYD00006274 is listed at 4 mm and about 515 × 705 mm. The two are not interchangeable.
How do I hold the cab door open while the glass is out?
Hitachi's ZAXIS30U-5N operator manual (the matching Hitachi cab for this series) says to open the door all the way until it locks into the latch on the side of the cab; the door lock release lever is at the left side of the operator's seat.
Is the cab door the emergency exit on these mini excavators?
The ZAXIS30U-5N operator manual lists the door as the first way out. If it cannot be used, open the upper front window; if that fails, break the front window with the emergency evacuation tool at the cab rear, and failing that the rear window.
Can I add screens to protect the glass on my 35G?
John Deere's 35G/50G/60G brochure lists optional front cab screens and an optional rear secondary exit kit for the cab, which is ROPS/TOPS/FOPS certified.
