Tempered Glass vs. Polycarbonate

This is genuine tempered glass — the same material type as the factory panel — not a polycarbonate substitute. Glass resists scratching far better than polycarbonate and stays clear after years of wiping, washing and dust. If it breaks, tempered glass shatters into small, blunt pieces rather than large sharp shards. For forestry, mulching or demolition work with heavy flying debris, consider impact-resistant polycarbonate from our Takeuchi polycarbonate door and window collection.
